An open plan and unencumbered home to encourage their children’s imagination and freedom to pursue their own creative activities was what the couple yearned for.

The use of blue at the shoe cabinet, books/toy storage and warm cove lighting energize the casual living space. Sliding windows help the children feel a connection with the living while they are playing/studying in their bedroom and can be closed to provide privacy when needed.

Keeping the kitchen clean with minimal adornment, white cabinetry paired with light wood countertop make a conducive cooking space for the family.

Fulfilling the couple’s request of a semi-open kitchen, the sliding windows over the countertop allows them to open during prepping / serving and close during cooking.

Balancing a colour scheme of white walls, wood finishes and grey furnishings create a home that was equally functional, clean and warm.

The couple wanted a modern minimalist home defined with simple lines and feature cove light that exudes lightness and spaciousness. A white and taupe kitchen is contained within the glass partition and quartz countertop with crisp white veins for an open-plan feel providing continuity to the living/dining space.

Livened up the muted bedroom was the ceramic textile floor tiles to create an intriguing yet cozy personal space.  

The palette of soft beiges was enlivened by bronze and copper accents that brings an understated elegance to this minimal home.

A home that encompasses pops of blue was the couple’s request. The painted blue house silhouette backdrop is highlighted by the placement of the customised shoe bench. House in the same wooden shades, the tv console, dining table and accessories carry the warmth while their photography showcase add personality to the living space.

The Teochew typographic accent on the kitchen door is in the dialect of the couple that portray their great hospitality and love for food totally. The netural-coloured bedroom gets cozied up with wood flooring and furnishings with a touch of blue on the wall lights make a warm and inviting private space.

Leading into one open space that serves as a living, dining and workspace was a request from the couple for a bright and lively living space. The workspace fits seamlessly in the living space where the slots are for their collection of books / video games. The open storage makes the shelves a toy collectibles showpiece and bay window as a cosy working / reading nook.

Extending the playful feel to the kitchen with a diagonal groove door, blue turquoise cabinetry and light wood worktop. The warm textures, touches of blue and knick-knacks finish off the playful personality of this home.

Forming a neutral outline of white, black & gray palette creates a contrast for the couples’ collectible figurines and plushies that add bits of colour, warmth and texture to the home complemented by wooden furnishings.

The kitchen is decked out in gray cabinetry and black tiles, which was a request from the couple to have a visual continuity with the living space.

The workspace takes on different paintwork with a half forest green wall making it an interesting backdrop for their white work desk and shelving.
